Pizza, Gelato and and Fewer Lines at Eataly Boston

Eataly NYC is massive and packed. I’ve been there twice and came away both times having not successfully try their pizza. No one wants to wait an hour for a pizza on a hot summer day in New York. So when Eataly opened up nearby in my city of Boston, it was refreshing to not have to wait in line too long to try their food. Don’t get me wrong, the place was packed, and walking around with a two year old in a stroller was an exercise in patience, but the lines do move fast and I’ll take Boston crowds over New York crowded! The pizza did not disappoint. It tasted just like those you find in Italy; the crust was chewy and slightly charred, the sauce was gently sweet, and the cheese so fresh. The Gelato was light but had intense flavors and again was so true to the Gelato you find in Italy. It’s expensive to eat at Eataly, so be prepared to throw down about 30 bucks for two small pizzas, and 6 bucks for a large Gelato. But it’s worth it if you want to save 1000 plus dollars on a round trip ticket to Italy mainland!
