Turkey Chili Crockpot

I made a healthy, delicious 8 hour turkey chili in the crockpot and it was so hot, I had to cool it down w some cooling garnishes. There's so much flavor in this chili you won't miss the ground beef!
Ingredients
  • Seasonings:
  • 4 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 1⁄2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 2 1⁄2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper
  • Chili:
  • 1 1⁄2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1-2 peppers (red, green, or yellow) diced
  • ½ jalapeno pepper diced
  • ½ onion minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans
  • Garnishes:
  • Sour Cream
  • Tortilla Chips
  • Avocado
  • Cilantro
  • Corn
  • Shredded cheese
Instructions
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil medium heat, and add ½ of the onions and saute until transluscent, then add ground turkey with a pinch of salt and cook until no longer pink
  2. Drain.
  3. In Crock-Pot, add ground turkey, tomatoes, tomato sauce, two cans of beans, dry seasonings
  4. on top add onions, and peppers
  5. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Half way through, stir all the ingredients
  6. The chili will be hot, so add cooling garnishes and enjoy!
